Mount Chandler is a 1400  m high and prominent mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Behrendt Mountains it rises 4 km northwest of Mount Caywood .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Lieutenant Commander James L. Chandler of the US Navy, pilot of a Douglas C- 47 Skytrain R4D for air support of a crew that crossed the Antarctic Peninsula between 1961 and 1962 for reconnaissance purposes.
