Mount Daniel is a mountain in the Cascade Range about 85 kilometers east of the city of Seattle in the US state of Washington . At 2,426 meters above sea level, its summit is the highest peak in Counties King and Kittitas . The Cle Elum River , a tributary of the Yakima River , rises on the eastern slope of Mount Daniel.
In addition to the Middle Summit, the main peak of the mountain, the sub-peaks East Peak (2408 m), West Pyramid (2402 m) and Northwest Summit (2343 m) are part of the massif. The striking Cathedral Rock rises to the southeast.
