Mount Edixon is a 2080 m high mountain in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Lanterman Range of the Bowers Mountains, it rises 10 km southeast of Bowers Peak .
The northern group of the 1963 to 1964 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named him after Lieutenant James Richard Edixon (* 1929) of the United States Navy , pilot with the VX-6 flight squadron and responsible for air support for this research trip.
