Mount Goldthwait is a 3815 m high and striking mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 4 km south of Mount Dalrymple in the northern part of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
It was discovered by the so-called Marie Byrd Land Traverse Party , a team mainly to explore Marie Byrd Land between 1957 and 1958. It is named after Richard Parker Goldthwait (1911–1992), advisor to the technical committee on glaciology in the United States' national committee States for the International Geophysical Year (1957–1958).
