Mount Hummer is a 1,710 m high, snowy and cliff-like mountain in West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Forrestal Range of the Pensacola Mountains, it rises northeast of the Saratoga Table on the southwest side of the head end of the Chambers Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1979 after the American doctor Michael G. Hummer of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation , who carried out biomedical and physiological studies at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in the Antarctic winter of 1975 .
