Mount Marks is a massive, icy and around 2600 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Worcester Range it rises 8 km north-northwest of Mount Speyer .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2001 after the Australian astrophysicist Rodney Marks (1968-2000), who died on May 12, 2000 at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station as a result of methanol poisoning .
