Mount Marquis is a 1700 m high mountain in Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the southern part of the Du Toit Mountains, it rises 6 km north of the Maury Glacier , 45 km south-southwest of Dietz Bluff and 43 km west of the northern end of Pullen Island off the Black Coast .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1991 after Peter Timothy Marquis (* 1956), who was involved in the joint exploration of this area participated in the United States Geological Survey and the British Antarctic Survey from 1986 to 1987.
