Mount McCrory is a mountain near the Ruppert coast of the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It rises 3 km east-southeast of Mount Vance in the eastern section of the Ickes Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after Captain Eugene E. McCrory (* 1923) of the United States Coast Guard , Commander of the icebreaker USS Glacier during Operation Deep Freeze in 1969 and 1970.
