Mount Vance is a 840 m high mountain near the Ruppert coast of the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It looms in the Ickes Mountains between Mount LeMasurier and Mount McCrory .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Dale Lines Vance (* 1938), ionospheric physicist at Byrd Station in 1963 and US exchange scholars on the Soviet Vostok station in 1971.
