Mount Melton

Mount Melton is a 2000  m high and cuboid mountain on the Antarctic Ross Island . In the Kyle Hills, it rises 2.1 km west of Tent Peak on the north side of Lofty Promenade .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2000 after Terry Melton, who from June 1981 to 1983 worked as an engineer for the power plant and technical facilities at Palmer Station , and from 1984 to 1993 in a comparable position at McMurdo Station for Williams Field was responsible and worked from October 1998 to October 1999 as manager of the National Science Foundation at McMurdo Station.
