The Mount Prophet is a steep and remote mountain in the North Cascades in the State of Washington . It lies between several isolated valleys west of Ross Lake and east of the Picket Range . The mountain was named in honor of Tommy Rowland, a "religious fanatical" prospector who lived in the Skagit River area in the late 19th century . Few people have climbed Mount Prophet due to its difficult-to-reach location.

Surrounded by the valleys of the two Beaver Creeks and the Arctic Creek, the mountain rises steeply from the valley floor, which gives it a notch height of more than 4,000 ft (approx. 1,220 m). This makes it the 18th most prominent mountain in Washington. Several hiking trails lead to the streams near the mountain, the closest being the Little Beaver-Big Beaver Loop, approximately 26.5 mi (42.6 km) away.
