Mount Soyat is a striking and 2150 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the western Wisconsin Range of the Horlick Mountains, it rises on the eastern flank of the Reedy Glacier immediately north of the confluence of the Norfolk Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the mountain based on its own measurements and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1967 after Commander David Soyat (1921-1999), operations officer of the VX-6 squadron McMurdo Station in 1962.
