Moussa Mara (born March 2, 1975 in Bamako ) is an independent politician from Mali , who was Prime Minister of Mali between 2014 and 2015 .

Life

Mara became Minister of Urban Planning in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Oumar Tatam Ly in 2013 . After Ly's resignation on April 5, 2014, he took over as his successor as Prime Minister of Mali on April 9, 2014 . On April 11, 2014, he presented his cabinet, which included Abdoulaye Diop as Foreign Minister and General Sada Samaké as Minister of the Interior and Security. Soumeylou Boubèye Maïga kept the post as defense minister and Bouaré Fily Sissoko as finance minister. On January 8, 2015, he resigned as prime minister, whereupon Modibo Keïta , who was also non-party , succeeded him on January 9, 2015 and presented his government on January 10, 2015.
