Cissé Mariam Kaïdama Sidibé

Cissé Mariam Kaïdama Sidibé (born January 4, 1948 in Timbuktu ) is a Malian politician . She was the first female head of government in her country from April 3, 2011 to March 21, 2012.

Life

Sidibé had been Prime Minister of Mali since April 3, 2011, succeeding Modibo Sidibé . On March 21, 2012, the government was overthrown in a military coup. At the same time, the putschists suspended the constitution, annulled the presidential election scheduled for April and declared all previous state institutions to be dissolved.

Sidibé is married and has four children.
