Mpho Benjamin Links (born June 20, 1995 ) is a South African high jumper .
Athletic career
Mpho Links gained his first international experience in 2015 at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa , where he won the silver medal with a skipped 2.10 m. He then took part in the Summer Universiade in Gwangju for the first time , where he finished twelfth with 2.10 m in the final, before reaching sixth place with 2.13 m at the African Games in Brazzaville . Two years later he reached seventh place at the Student World Games in Taipei with a height of 2.23 m. In 2018 he won the bronze medal at the African Championships in Asaba with 2.15 m behind the Kenyan Mathew Sawe and his compatriot Chris Moleya . In 2019 he finished fifth at the Summer Universiade in Naples with 2.21 m and then won the Africa Games in Rabat with a skipped 2.20 m.
In 2014 and 2015, as well as in 2019 , Links became the South African high jump champion.
