Mrotsek

Count Mrotsek (also Mroczko ; † after 1263) was a Silesian nobleman who was the castellan of Crossen and Palatine in Opole .

Life

Mrotsek was referred to as Graf ( comes ) in several documents . He was the owner of the Grottkau estate in Silesia. Mrotsek was mentioned several times in documents in the wake of the Silesian dukes Heinrich I and II . In 1241 he was allowed by Bishop Heinrich von Lebus to appoint German settlers in Zielenzig . In 1244 Count Mrotsek sold his Zielenzig estate to the Knights Templar . In that year he was also mentioned as a castellan in Crossen .

In 1252 he was in Rützen near Wohlau and in 1263 voivode in Opole .

family

The cathedral provost Gerlach von Lebus was his brother.
