The Mullitzbach , also Mühl Bach, Mulitzbach or Mulitzbachl, in the upper reaches also called Gossenbach , is a brook in the municipality of Ainet ( Lienz district ). The Mullitzbach flows west of Ainet into the Daberbach .

Origin of name

The Mullitzbach is already known as "Mullitz Pach" in 1553. The name is derived from Slavic and means "fine sand", river sand, Latvians or alluvial mud (Slovenian: mulj).

course

The Mullitzbach rises on the southwest flanks of the Schobergruppe south of the Lower Prijakt in the area of the Anthofhütte. It flows in a south-westerly direction almost exclusively through wooded area before entering the Iseltal above the district of Mullitze. It then feeds a fish pond and flows above or north of the Tratte district before it crosses under Felbertauern Strasse after Tratte and shortly afterwards flows into a stagnant body of water fed by the Daberbach. This water in turn drains into the Isel.
