Mulumba Lukoji

Crispin Mulumba Lukoji (born March 5, 1943 in Kipushi ; † March 3, 1997 in Johannesburg ) was a Congolese politician and Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire) from March 15, 1991 to October 2, 1991 .

Live and act

Lukoji studied law at the University of Kinshasa and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws . He received a Master of Arts degree from Columbia University . In 1972 he received his doctorate in Kinshasa. He served as a professor at the Law Faculty of Kinshasa University and as a state commissioner.

After the resignation of Lunda Bululu , Lukoji became the second prime minister of the transitional government on March 15, 1991. He chaired the National Conference (Conférence nationale souveraine) in August 1991. The opposition accused him of being on the side of Mobutu Sese Seko . On September 30, 1991, he resigned during civil unrest.

He died of a heart attack in 1997.
