Oral astrology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The mundane (from the Latin. Mundus = world) is the field of astrology , which does not deal with human individuals, but with politics, economy and nature. It has been the predominant field of astrological activity from ancient times to modern times. Its opposite pole is individual astrology .

term

Within astrology, the oral astrology deals with z. B. with war and peace, countries and peoples of the earth , with epidemics and rulers as well as human communities z. As an association, in contrast to the so-called individual astrology with the areas of birth charts and hour astrological horoscopes question , the so-called Elektionen , choosing an astrologically favorable time point for the beginning of an action, and the so-called Iatroastrologie . In the economy , however, astrological methods are still used today to estimate stock prices and the development of companies. In recent decades, oral astrology has also been used increasingly in election forecasts, typically in federal elections or in the US presidential elections .
So-called 'astrological considerations of history' are only rarely published.

history

The oral astrology dominated the astrological early history in the 1st millennium BC. B. in Mesopotamia or Babylonia . Until antiquity, the common individual was of little value anyway, most of the time the current or future ruler was the focus of oral astrological activities. Not least because of the pronounced individualization in the modern occidental and western world from the 20th century onwards, mundane astrology continued to lose importance after astrology in general lost its credibility and plausibility as early as the 18th century in the course of the Enlightenment . However, it is still practiced, especially in astrological circles. Western politicians, who seek the advice of astrologers in their decisions, irritate the public, only cause head shakes.
For a long time, astrological predictions of weather and crop yields were of great importance. With the advent of scientific meteorology in the 19th century, these became superfluous, and relics only live on in peasant rules and lunar calendars .

Areas

Oral anstrology: Horoscope for the moment of swearing in by US President Donald Trump on January 20, 2017, 11:59 am Washington DC Outer ring: 12 signs of the zodiac ; inner ring: 12 houses with the symbols of different stars. Red lines ~ disharmonious, green and blue lines ~ harmonic angles (aspects).

States and politics

For horoscopes of collective and public events, it is advantageous to have a clearly defined starting point, such as the time of signing a contract, issuing a charter or a public ritual, e.g. B. the groundbreaking ceremony or a foundation stone is marked. A horoscope can then be drawn up for this point in time. In the same way, periods of government and international treaties are interpreted astrologically, and forecasts are made. In the case of states, several times and horoscopes are usually relevant: for example, the proclamation of the constitution or the swearing-in of a government. There are or were several, even different from each other, traditional associations of the countries and major cities of the zodiac signs, as in the Tetrabiblos of Ptolemy listed. Eg Germany to Aries or Cancer or Scorpio , eastern Switzerland to Taurus , Switzerland in general to Virgo .

Weather astrology

Johannes Kepler already kept regular weather records for decades. Quarterly horoscopes are mainly used for weather forecasting.

Economic and stock market astrology

A company horoscope can in partnerships such. B. be created for the time of the signatures on the shareholder contract, in the case of corporations formally on the entry in the relevant commercial register, counted back to 0:00 on the entry date . The day, and often even the time, is usually known for the initial issue of listed shares in a company.

Methods

The following are important for the investigation of global processes:

Cycles

Cycles of the planets , including the new moon and full moon , but above all major conjunctions and aspects of the 'slow' planets Saturn to Neptune . The great conjunction with Jupiter and Saturn in particular has repeatedly been interpreted as an astronomical-astrological background for the biblical narrative of the star of Bethlehem and the three wise men from the Orient or astrologers from the East in the Gospel of Matthew :
As Jesus at the time of King Herod was born in Bethlehem in Judea, magicians from the east came to Jerusalem and asked: Where is the newborn King of the Jews? We have seen his star rise and have come to pay homage to him.

The cycle of the legendary Platonic year lasts almost 26,000 years and is based on the precession of the vernal equinox. From his "months" the theory about astrological ages such as Aquarian Age , Piscean Age is derived .

Ingresse

Ingressen means the entry of the “slow” planets Saturn and Uranus , Pluto and Neptune into a new zodiac sign. The astrologically asserted change in the quality of time should always set a distinctive point for entire generations of people of the same age group.

Eclipses

Solar and lunar eclipses take place several times a year. They apply astrologically - mostly impairing, weakening - for several months (at least until the next eclipse), especially for the areas affected by the "darkening of the lights".

Quarterly horoscopes

So-called quarterly horoscopes are created for the time the current sun sets in at 0 ° Capricorn (beginning of winter) or 0 ° Aries (beginning of spring) etc., and should be especially important for weather astrology as well as in political forecasts for the coming (quarter) Year.

  • Transits and directions of an oral anhoroscope must also be taken into account.
  • So-called relocation horoscopes or astro-cartography are used if you want to explore an interesting place in more detail.
