The mongoose is a river in Cameroon, Central Africa .
description
The river has its source in the Rumpibergen . From there it first flows east and then south to the Cameroon estuary . The mongoose has a water catchment area of around 4200 square kilometers. Its northern catchment area includes the Bakossi Mountains and Mount Kupe . Numerous crater lakes such as the Barombi Mbo , with their partly endemic fish stocks, supply the mongoose with water via smaller tributaries.
The west bank of the river belongs to the settlement area of the Oroko people , the northern water catchment area to the settlement area of the Bakossi .

The flow rate of the river was measured in m³ / s in Mundame, about 80 km from the mouth.
