Bajartsogtyn Mönchdsajaa ( Mongolian Баярцогтын Мөнхзаяа , born October 10, 1993 ) is a Mongolian long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Bajartsogtyn Mönchdsajaa gained her first international experience at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea , where she finished twelfth in the 5000 meter run and ninth place over 10,000 meters in 33: 31.11 minutes. The following year she reached 53rd place at the 2015 World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang and was seventh in the 10,000 meter run and sixth in the half marathon at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju . In the marathon she qualified for the World Championships in Beijing , where she finished 35th in 2:45:01 h . In 2016 she won the Ulaanbaatar Marathon and also took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she was 72. After winning the Taipei Wan Jin Shi Marathon and the Gunsan Marathon in 2017, she qualified again for the World Championships in London , where she reached 58th place in 2:46:59 h this time .

In 2018 she finished second in the Gunsang Marathon and again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta at the end of August , where she finished seventh in 2:40:14 h.

Munkhzaya Bayartsogt graduated from the Mongolian National Institute of Physical Education in Ulaanbaatar . She did her military service in the Mongolian Army.
