Murafa ( Ukrainian and Russian Мурафа , Polish Morachwa ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Vinnytsia with about 2700 inhabitants (2001).

The village, first mentioned in writing in 1432, is the administrative center of the 93.2 km² district council of the same name in Sharhorod Raion with a total of 7087 inhabitants (2018), to which the northern neighboring village of Klekotyna with around 3800 inhabitants and the southern neighboring village of Dowschok ( Довжок , ) with about 900 inhabitants.

In the Soviet Union , the village was called Schdanowe ( Жданове ) until 1989 , when it got its original name back

The village is located on the bank of the Murafa , a tributary of the Dniester , 14 km east of the Sharhorod district center and 70 km south of the Vinnytsia oblast center .

The T-02-30 territorial road runs through the village .
