Mutluluk - The Honor Killing , foreign distribution title Bliss , is a Turkish fictional film directed by Abdullah Oğuz from 2007 . The novel adaptation of the international bestseller Glückseligkeit (2002, DE 2008) by Zülfü Livaneli received awards at several important festivals.
criticism
The Canberra International Film Festival called Mutluluk "an unconventional road movie in which the executor of an honor killing and his victim go on a journey of self-discovery". Christiane Schlötzer from the Süddeutsche Zeitung reviewed the film on March 29, 2007 as a “great entertainment cinema”. Sabah's Atilla Dorsay saw a film about "a great love". Jugu Abraham (dearcinema.com) spoke of "simply heavenly cinema".
Soundtrack
The film's soundtrack comes from the author, who is also a well-known singer-songwriter . The only song in the score is Meryem's Song, but the Berlin soul singer Jocelyn B. Smith .
