Mychajlo Albertowytsch Fedorow ( Ukrainian Михайло Альбертович Федоров ; born January 21, 1991 in Vasylivka , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian businessman and politician. Since August 29, 2019 he has been Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Digital Transformation.

Life

Mychajlo Fedorov was born in the city of Vasylivka in the Ukrainian Oblast of Zaporizhia .

He graduated from the Faculty of Sociology and Management of the Zaporizhia National University . As a specialist in targeted advertising on the Internet and in social networks, he founded his own news agency in Zaporizhia in May 2013 .

In the parliamentary elections in Ukraine in 2014 , he ran unsuccessfully at number 166 in the political party 5.10 for the Verkhovna Rada .

During the presidential election campaign for the 2019 presidential election in Ukraine , he headed the digital direction in the team of Volodymyr Zelenskyj and was presented to the public as the person potentially responsible for the computerization and digitization of Ukraine. After Zelenskyi's successful election, he appointed him as a freelance advisor to the President of Ukraine in May 2019 . For the parliamentary elections in Ukraine in 2019 he was placed in 6th place on the list by the Sluha narodu party (German servant of the people ) and, after a successful election, became a member of the Verkhovna Rada on August 29, 2019 . On the same day, at the first session of the newly elected parliament, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Digital Transformation in the Honcharuk government. He retained this office after a cabinet reshuffle on March 4, 2020 in the new Schmyhal cabinet .
