Nándor Fazekas [ ˈnaːndor ˈfɒzɛkɒʃ ] (born October 16, 1976 in Kecskemét , Hungary ) is a former Hungarian handball goalkeeper .
Career
Fazekas initially played in Hungary for Dunaferr SE and Fotex Veszprém . In 2004 he moved to the German club TuS Nettelstedt-Lübbecke . Two years later he joined VfL Gummersbach . At the end of the 2008/09 season he left VfL for KC Veszprém . He was loaned from the Hungarian club to the Qatari club al-Jaish from August 1, 2014 to December 15, 2014 . In February 2015 he returned to HBW Balingen-Weilstetten in the Bundesliga . After the 2014/15 season, HBW Balingen-Weilstetten and Nándor Fazekas went their separate ways, whereupon he joined Balatonfüredi KSE . He ended his career in spring 2020.
Fazekas played 238 international matches for the Hungarian men's national handball team and scored exactly one goal.
The trained painter is married and has two sons.
