The Nère is a river in France that runs in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region .

course

It rises in the municipality of Cardeilhac , generally drains north-east to east through the historic province of Comminges and flows into the Louge as a left tributary after 33 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Francon and Montoussin .

Since the Nère has little water in dry periods, it is artificially irrigated by the Canal de Franquevielle à Cardeilhac , which diverts the water from the upper reaches of the Louge to the Nère.
