N 6 , N 6 -dimethyladenosine (m 6 2 A) is a rare nucleoside and occurs in the rRNA . It consists of β- D -ribofuranose (sugar) and N 6 , N 6 -dimethyladenine . It is a derivative of adenosine , which isdoubly methylated at the amino group .
Puromycin is a derivative .
