NA9

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

NA9 was an experiment at the Super Proton Synchrotron of CERN , which was conducted from 1978 to 1979 and completed 1989th The aim was to investigate the in deep-inelastic muon - scattering final states occurring. The collaboration's spokesperson was Terence Sloan from Lancaster University .

construction

The instrumental structure of NA9 was based on the structure of NA2 , which was supplemented by a further vertex detector . The addition made it possible to cover the entire solid angle almost completely .
