NA2

NA2 was an experiment at the Super Proton Synchrotron of CERN which was approved in 1975 and took until 1985 data. It was completed in 1995. The aim of the experiment was to research the scattering of high-energy muons on different samples in order to improve the understanding of the electromagnetic interaction mediated by virtual photons . It was carried out by the European Muon Collaboration (EMC); The collaboration's spokesperson was Terence Sloan from Lancaster University . Among other things, structural functions F 2 of various samples were measured.

construction
