National Bureau of Economic Research
The National Bureau of Economic Research ( NBER ) is a US private, non-partisan, non-profit research organization devoted to the study of the theory and empiricism of economics, especially the American economy. The headquarters are in Cambridge , Massachusetts (USA). Its objectives are unbiased research and the dissemination of knowledge among politicians, business people and the academic community.
The NBER was founded in 1920 by Wesley C. Mitchell and publishes the NBER Working Papers.
The NBER is the largest economic research institute in the United States.

An official organ of the facility is the NBER Macroeconomics Annual .
