NB I. Szabó László csoport 2006/07
The NB I. Szabó László csoport 2006/07 was the top division of the Hungarian team championship in chess. For the reported team squad of the participating clubs see team squad of NL I. Szabó László csoport 2006/07 .
Game dates
The competitions took place on November 12 and 26, December 3 and 17, 2006, February 18, March 4 and 25, April 15 and 29 and May 6 and 20, 2007. They were decentralized at played by the clubs involved.
Season course
As in the previous year, the defending champion Csuti Antal SK Zalaegerszeg and Aquaprofit NK (formerly Nagykanizsa TSK ) fought for the title. Before the direct comparison in the 8th round, Zalaegerszeg had already worked out a lead of 5.5 points, but with a 9: 3 victory Aquaprofit took the lead and never gave it up. Since two teams had withdrawn in the previous year, I / B were from the NB. with the Budapesti Egyetemi Atlétikai Club , Edelényi Városi Sportegyesület and the Vasas Sport Club three teams rose. From a sporting point of view, Vasas would have been relegated together with Tabáni Spartacus Sportegyesület , while the co-promoters achieved relegation. However, since Edelényi withdrew his team, Vasas remained first class.
