The nProtect GameGuard (sometimes abbreviated as GG ) is anti-cheating software that is distributed by INCA Internet . It should block game modifications and bots and thus prevent cheats in computer games . The software is often used with Asian mass online games ( MMORPGs ) such as Lineage II , 9Dragons , Flyff , Phantasy Star Universe or Ragnarok Online .

nProtect GameGuard "hides" the process of the game to be protected and monitors all processes running in the background. The game will end if any suspicious activity is detected. Programs that nProtect GameGuard recognizes as known cheat software are also terminated. It also blocks certain DirectX and Windows API functions . In addition, the software has a mechanism to update itself automatically so that new cheats can be dealt with in a timely manner.

The software can be run from Windows 98 or Windows NT .
