The NRTL Atauro (P102) is a speedboat of Albatroz class of Timor Leste Defense Force , which after the East Timorese island of Atauro was named. Together with its sister boat NRTL Oecusse , it formed the country's first naval units and is stationed at the Hera naval base . The Atauro was built on December 9, 1974 in the “Arsenal do Alfeite” near Almada / Portugal for the Portuguese Navy and put into service as Açor (P 1163) in the same year. In the late 1990s was begun in the Portuguese navy, the Albatroz class by the Argos and the Centauro class to replace. In January 2002 the Albatroz and the Açor were handed over to East Timor, making them the first ever naval units. Other boats of the Albatroz class are the decommissioned Andorinha , Condor , Águia and Cisne .

In 2008 the Atauro and the Oecusse were overhauled in Indonesia, but in 2019 the two boats were in such poor condition that they had to be put ashore.
