Original Naabtal Duo
The Original Naabtal-Duo is a German singing duo of folk music , named after the valley of the Naab river .
history
Wolfgang Edenharder founded the Original Naabtal Duo with the drummer Hubert Zaschka in the 1970s in order to perform musically on various occasions in the Regensburg area. Wolfgang Edenharder played the accordion and in 1985 was able to win Willi Seitz for his duo. The first record was made: music for our friends . In 1988, the two took the song Patrona Bavariae the Grand Prix of folk music in part and took first place. That was the breakthrough. Patrona Bavariae became the most successful song in the history of popular hits.
By 1993 the duo had other great hits and won several prizes, including the golden tuning fork . In 1993 the two separated and also had success as a soloist - Wolfgang Edenharder in popular pop music - Willi Seitz also in the country scene .
In October 2003 there was reunification at the Autumn Festival of Folk Music . They celebrated their comeback with the album We are back there . The single, Let's talk about it again, was one of the great hits of folk music in 2003/2004. On March 29, 2005 her CD was released with the title Nur mit dir .
This feeling has been on the market since July 2006 , the third album since the comeback in 2003. With this album, which was produced by Wolfgang Edenharder and Willi Seitz themselves, the duo went back to their roots, to the well-known “Naabtal sound”. On the CD there is also a "welcome hymn" for the visit of Benedict XVI. in Bavaria: Our Pope comes from Bavaria . At Christmas 2007 a Christmas CD was released with the title Christmas I'm at home .
