Willi Seitz

Willi Seitz (born December 17, 1957 in Wolfsegg ) is a German singer of popular music .

Life

After finishing school, Willi first learned the trade of textile merchant . He also enjoyed musical training at the Regensburg City Theater . When the drummer Hubert Zascha dropped out from the Original Naabtal Duo in 1985 , Willi Seitz stepped in. He got on immediately with his partner Wolfgang Edenharder , so that the Original Naabtal Duo continued to perform in this formation. In 1988 the two won the Grand Prix of Folk Music with the song Patrona Bavariae . This marked the beginning of a successful career for Willi Seitz and Wolfgang Edenharder, which initially lasted until 1993.

Then the separation followed. Willi started a solo career. He founded a new formation "Willi Seitz and his friends", with which he had some great successes. The group included Henny Knops, Frans Senden and Danny Winters. This group was initially produced by folk music star Heino , followed by GG Anderson . In 2000, Willi Seitz applied for the Grand Prix of Folk Music , but achieved only 13th place in the German preliminary decision with When we hold together . Willi Seitz has been a regular guest in various television events since 1993.

In 2003 Willi sat back at the negotiating table with his former singing partner Wolfgang Edenharder to talk about a continuation of the Original Naabtal Duo. In October 2003, Willi and Wolfgang celebrated the music comeback of the year with Wolfgang as the Original Naabtal Duo in the TV show “Autumn Festival of Folk Music” with the CD “We are back”. In April 2005 the duo's first new CD was released .

On July 8th, 2011 Willi Seitz released a new solo album entitled Wo zieh'n die Jahre vor, which was released by MCP Sound & Media .

In 2011 Willi Seitz started the conception of a new duet project together with the pop singer Kay Dörfel . In March 2013, both artists will release a longplay CD under the name “Echte Engel”. But the project was terminated a short time later.

In 2015 the single Ruck was released to me a bit , a rock-folk song , for which a video was also produced. The single was produced by Sascha Eibisch , known from the band " Relax " ("Weil i di mog").

Also for Christmas, Willi Seitz recorded a German version of the Chris Rea hit Driving Home for Christmas : I'm going home to Christmas , which was produced for the Christmas CD Yo HO HO - A relaxed Christmas .

In 2016 Willi Seitz will go on tour again together with Wolfgang Edenharder as the Original Naabtal Duo . a. with Marianne and Michael .
