Night pilgrimage chapel Locherboden
The Roman Catholic Locherboden night pilgrimage chapel is located southeast of the Locherboden pilgrimage church in the municipality of Mötz in the Imst district in Tyrol . The night pilgrimage chapel as a modern building is a listed building .
history
The night pilgrimage chapel was built in 1996 with the architect Gerold Wiederin (1961-2006) together with the painter Helmut Federle . The building was created through an architecture competition with the Tyrolean Village Renewal , as the pilgrimage church could not accept all pilgrims during night pilgrimages. Architecture mediators Franziska Leeb and Helmut Federle reject a later addition in front of the grotto.
architecture
The simple, open pavilion is made of cast-in-place concrete. In the center of the back wall is a work by the artist Helmut Federle made of colored glass chunks and an iron grating in the form of branches. Federle placed a grid with the same branch motif in front of the opening of the grotto in the rock wall to the side of the chapel.
