Nadezhda Nikolajewna Andrejewa née Patrakejewa ( Russian: Надежда Николаевна Андреева , née Патракеева ; born April 11, 1959 in Kirovsk , Soviet Union ; † August 11, 2014 in Moscow ) was a Soviet ski racer .

biography

Patrakejewa was multiple Soviet champion, already at the age of sixteen she became a member of the national team. In the 1980/81 season she won all titles in the alpine disciplines at the Soviet championships. She was active in races in the Alpine Ski World Cup for five years , she achieved her greatest successes in slalom , including two second places and a total of eight times among the top ten, including one in the alpine combination . She also finished in the points in the giant slalom , and a thirteenth place was her best result. In 1980 she finished 9th in the Slalom World Cup, achieved her best placement in the overall World Cup with 20th place in the same year, and a year later again came 9th in the slalom discipline. In 1976 she was supposed to be nominated for the Winter Olympics, but was not considered because of a broken pelvis and not least because of her young age.

Patrakjewa competed in the 1980 and 1984 Winter Olympics . In Lake Placid she achieved her best result with sixth place in the slalom, after the first run she was still on the bronze rank, and she also achieved twelfth place in the giant slalom. In Sarajevo she was no longer so successful with 15th place in slalom and 29th place in giant slalom. Her best result at the world championships was in the giant slalom, twelfth place at the 1982 competitions in Schladming . In 1983 Andreyeva became the mother of a son, she ended her career after she had won the slalom and giant slalom titles again at the Soviet championships in 1984 because her husband Vladimir Andreyev , who was also a member of the Soviet alpine ski team, coached the Soviet alpine women's team has been.

After completing her active career, she remained connected to alpine skiing, she initially worked as a trainer in the alpine area before she was appointed director of the school of the Olympic Reserve in Schukolowo, a ski area in Moscow Oblast . She headed the facility for ten years until her death in 2014.
