Nadje Noordhuis

Nadje Noordhuis (* around 1980) is an Australian jazz musician ( trumpet , flugelhorn , composition ). Their debut album praised All About Jazz as a recording of "sublime taste and romantic-toned elegance".

Live and act

Noordhuis worked in the New York jazz scene from the early 2000s; first recordings were made around 2004 in the big band of Sherisse Rogers ( Sleight of Hand ). In the following years she played a. a. with Ann Hampton Callaway ( Blues in the Night ), with Sherrie Maricle and the Diva Jazz Orchestra , Darcy James Argues Secret Society and the Awakening Orchestra . In 2010 she recorded her self-titled debut album with her own compositions, on which Geoff Keezer , Joe Martin and Obed Calvaire participated. She recorded the duo album Indigo with vibraphonist / percussionist James Shipp and the album Ten Sails (Lukktone, 2015) with pianist Luke Howard . In the field of jazz she was involved in 19 recording sessions between 2004 and 2018, also with Andy Sugg, Rudy Royston , Amy Cervini, Lisa Parrott , Oded Lev-Ari , Anat Cohen ( Triple Helix ) and Sari Kessler.
