At the 1990 World Championships in Budapest he competed with a body weight of 100.10 kg in the 2nd heavyweight up to 110 kg, as he had higher chances of medals here due to the weaker and smaller field of participants and in the 1st heavyweight up to 100 kg with Igor Sadykov and Sergei Kopytow two Soviet lifters have already started. With 390.0 kg (170.0 / 220.0 kg) in a duel, Muchamedjarow took second place behind Stefan Botew , who outclassed his competition with 440.0 kg.

Muchamedjarow had his only start for Ukraine in 1993 at the European Championships in Sofia , where he could not bring in a valid attempt in the new class up to 99 kg after 177.5 kg in the snap in the push and thus remained unplaced.
