Nailsworth is a town in the county of Gloucestershire in England .
history
Nailsworth was founded as a settlement between the Aveningtal and Woodchestertal. In 1867 the place was connected to the national railway network and a train station was built.
Today Nailsworth is a textile town and a beer brewing center.
Nailsworth is the twin town of the French community of Lèves .
geography
Nailsworth is in a valley in the Cotswolds , about 4 miles south of Stroud . The A 46 trunk road runs through Nailsworth and the M 5 motorway is around eight miles away. The River Frome flows through the village and is used for trout fishing.
Culture and sights
Nailsworth is home to Forest Green Rovers football club . The "Forest Green New Stadium" (also called "The New Lawn") opened in 2005.
In 2014 the Sunday Times voted Nailsworth one of the 101 Best Places to Live in the UK.
