Nanjing Automobile Group

Nanjing Automobile Group Co., Ltd. is a motor vehicle manufacturer from the People's Republic of China . The company was founded in Jiangsu in 1947 and currently has around 16,000 employees. Nanjing Automobile produces around 200,000 vehicles a year. The core products are trucks and coaches .

There is also the Yuejin Motor company for commercial vehicles under the Yuejin brand .

In July 2005, Nanjing Automobile acquired the MG Rover Group and thus the brands MG , Morris , Wolseley , Austin and Austin-Healey , of which only MG is currently used. The Rover counterpart, on the other hand, is the Roewe brand introduced by the NAC in 2006 . With their introduction, the former joint venture with Fiat SpA was terminated.

At the end of 2007, the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation took over the manufacturer Nanjing for a price of 1.9 billion US dollars.
