Naoki Ishikawa ( Japanese 石川 直樹 , Ishikawa Naoki ; born September 13, 1985 in Kashiwa , Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Naoki Ishikawa learned to play football in the youth team of Kashiwa Reysol . Here he signed his first professional contract in 2004. The club from Kashiwa , a city in Chiba Prefecture on Honshū , the main island of Japan , played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . In 2005 he had to start the path to the second class with the club. A year later he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and rose straight back to the first division. From 2009 to 2010 he was loaned to the second division Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo in Sapporo . For Sapporo, he completed 54 second division games. In 2011, the first division club Albirex Niigata signed him. With the club from Niigata he played 54 times in the first division. The league competitor Vegalta Sendai from Sendai signed him from 2013. For Vegalta he was on the field 126 times until mid-2017. In July 2017, he signed a contract with Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, also playing in the first division. In 2019 he was in the final of the J.League Cup with Sapporo , but the club lost on penalties to the first division club Kawasaki Frontale .
