Naomichi Ueda ( Japanese 植 田 直通 , Ueda Naomichi ; born October 24, 1994 in Uto ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

society

He started his career at Kashima Antlers . He contributed to winning the J1 League in 2016 . From 2014 to 2015 he played 13 times in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. In July 2018, I switched to Cercle Bruges .

National team

With the Japanese national team , he qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics .

Ueda was appointed to the Japanese national soccer team in 2017 . His first games there were two games in the finals at the 2017 East Asian Cup . He was appointed to the squad at the 2018 World Cup , but did not play a game there. At the Copa America 2019 he was on the pitch in all three group matches. As third in the group, Japan was eliminated there after the group stage.

Both in the Asia Cup in 2019 and in the East Asian Football Championship in the same year he was not in the squad of the Japanese national team.

Ueda had made eleven international appearances for Japan by the end of 2019.
