Naoshi Takahashi

Naoshi Takahashi (* 1973 in Nagoya ) is a conductor and general music director of the Eduard-von-Winterstein-Theater in Annaberg-Buchholz .

biography

At the age of three, Takahashi learned to play the piano. He is studying conducting at the Tokyo State University for Music and Fine Arts and then completes the master class there.

At the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, he continued his training in the master class and was awarded the master class diploma. This is followed by master classes in conducting, among others with Zubin Mehta and Valeri Gergijew .

His extraordinary musical talent is supported by grants from the Japanese Ministry of Culture, the Rotary Foundation and a grant from the Richard Wagner Foundation Bayreuth .

Even as a student, he received various invitations to guest conductors in Japan , including from the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.

His first engagement in Germany brought him to the Brandenburger Theater as Kapellmeister .

After an engagement at the municipal theater in Osnabrück , he has directed the Erzgebirgische Philharmonie Aue since 2004 , where he has been the chief conductor since 2006. Since 2006 he has worked as general music director at the Eduard-von-Winterstein-Theater in Annaberg-Buchholz . He has conducted at the Czech State Opera in Prague , the Radio Symphony Orchestra Pilsen and the renowned Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra Tokyo.

On March 19, 2010 Takahashi was appointed an ambassador for the Ore Mountains by the District Administrator of the Ore Mountains District , Frank Vogel . In January 2016 he was awarded the 2015 bridge badge by the city of Aue.
