Nappanee is a small American town in Elkhart County in northern Indiana . The place extends with its districts into Kosciusko County .
description
The name is borrowed from the Algonquian languages and probably means " flour ". The city had 6710 inhabitants in 2000. In 2000 there were 2521 households with a total of 1792 families. Most of the residents (more than 95%) belong to the white population group. Of the remaining statistically recorded population groups, none came over 0.3%.
Many Amish live on the farms around the city . An “Amish Acres” park has been set up for tourists so that they can experience the Amish way of life. There are two regular festivals held there: The Arts & Crafts Festival (Amish arts and crafts) and the Apple Festival .
The RV industry is located in Nappanee .
