Narendra Kumar Prakash Jain

Narendra Kumar Prakash Jain (born December 21, 1930 in Indore ) is an Indian yogi and former diplomat .

Life

NKP Jain is the son of Fateh and Pannalal. He studied at the University of Bombay and the University of Cambridge . In April 1953 he entered the foreign service and represented India in the Economic Commission of Asia and the Far East in Bangkok , Moscow and Berlin . In 1967 he was director in the Ministry of Commerce, looked for trade relations with the Council for Mutual Economic Aid and found a scholarship at the Berlin University of the Arts .

From 1970 to 1974 he was deputy head of the Indian mission at UN headquarters . He represented the Indian government at several conferences and meetings of the non-aligned movement. From 1974 to 1979 he was employed in the Foreign Ministry. From 1979 to 1982 he was ambassador to Kathmandu .

From November 24, 1982 to June 23, 1985 he was ambassador to Mexico City and was accredited to the governments of San Salvador and Guatemala .

From June 23, 1985 to October 10, 1986, with the rank of State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he headed the Department of Economics in Southeast Asia, the Near and Far East and the Gulf States.

From October 10, 1986 to April 30, 1989, he was ambassador in Brussels , was accredited to the EU Commission and was then retired .
