Narmang

The "community Narmang of Monba " ( 麻玛门巴族乡 , Mámǎ Ménbāzú Xiang ) is a nationality community in the county Cona of the administrative district of Shannan in Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . The community of nationalities, founded on November 1, 1984, has an area of ​​110 km² and 107 inhabitants (2000 census), 101 of whom are members of the Monba ethnic minority .

economy

Narmang lives from agriculture, especially the cultivation of highland barley (Qingke), wheat and rapeseed . Yaks , sheep and goats are kept as domestic animals. As a sideline, the Monba also operate traditional production methods , for example the black musk deer is hunted to obtain musk and the Chinese caterpillar mushroom is collected.
