Gomri (Cona)
The "community Gomri of Monba " ( 贡日门巴族乡 , Gòngrì Menba Zú Xiang ) is a nationality community in the county Cona of the administrative district of Shannan in Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . The community of nationalities, founded on November 1, 1984, has an area of 213 km² and 157 inhabitants (2000 census), 155 of whom belong to the Monba ethnic minority .
geography
The municipality falls sharply from the north (Boila Pass at around 4500 m altitude) to the south (Sinmo at around 3200 m altitude) and is surrounded by the Nyiangjiang Qu (娘 江 曲), a tributary of the Dawang Qu (达 旺 曲), cut through. The two villages of Gomris are located on the left and right banks. The Dawang Qu flows off to Bhutan and is called Tawang Chhu or "Gamri" there.
economy
Gomri lives from agriculture, especially the cultivation of highland barley (Qingke) and wheat . Sheep and goats are kept as domestic animals. As a sideline, the Monba also operate traditional production methods , for example the black musk deer is hunted to obtain musk and the Chinese caterpillar mushroom is collected.
