Location of Naschhausen in Dornburg-Camburg

Naschhausen is a district of the Dornburg-Camburg community in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

geography

Naschhausen is the part of the city of Dornburg on the western edge of the Saale floodplain . Dornburg itself is 100 m higher on a plateau. The federal road 88 and the Saalbahn with the Dornburg train station in the district run through the district. The JES public transport company runs the place with the bus line 408th The Saale cycle path runs through the village .

history

The district was first mentioned in documents as early as 1378. The oldest mention of the farm owners comes from the years 1421-25. The place is not a village in the strict sense of the word, but rather a craftsmen's settlement. Mainly the Dornburgers settled here, who could not practice their craft up in the city due to the need for water. The corridor is very small and most of the fields are not owned by the residents of Naschhausen.

The place belonged to the Dornburg office , founded in the 14th century , which, due to several divisions, belonged to various Wettin duchies . From 1815 the place was part of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach , which in 1850 incorporated it into the Weimar II administrative district ( Apolda administrative district ).

Culture and sights

The Naschhäuser Bornfege Association annually organizes the Bornfege Festival , a fountain festival. The village is connected to the main town Dorndorf by the Carl Alexander Bridge built in 1891 .
