Natália de Araújo (born October 20, 1966 in Ainaro , Portuguese Timor ) is an East Timorese politician. From 2012 to 2015, she was Vice Minister of Health for Ethics and Services. Araújo is a member of the largest ruling party, the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT).

Life

From 1975 to 1980 Araújo attended St. Paulos Primary School in Ainaro, then from the Catholic School Santa Maria in Ainaro, from 1980 to 1983 junior high school and from 1983 to 1986 secondary school. Between 1986 and 1987 Araújo obtained the first diploma for midwives. From July 17, 1987 to September 7, 1999, she was the head of the obstetrics department of the clinic of the Centro Dili health center . From January 2, 2002 to December 20, 2008, Araújo headed the Department of Obstetrics and Child Health in the East Timorese Ministry of Health . At the same time, she attended Dili University from 2002 to 2007 and graduated in public health from STIKES Ngundi Waluyo in Semarang ( Indonesia ) in 2008 . Araújo has the title Lic. SP.

From January 2009 to August 2012, Araújo headed the Quality Control and Gender Vocal Points department at the Ministry of Health . From March 17, 2011, she also took over the position of director of the health service of the Dili district . Since August 8, 2012, Araújo has been one of two Deputy Health Ministers of East Timor. With the government reshuffle on February 16, 2015, Araújo resigned from the East Timorese cabinet , but remained an advisor to the Ministry of Health.

Private

Araújo is married. She is fluent in Tetum and Bahasa Indonesia . She also speaks English , Portuguese and Spanish . Araújo lives in Gricenfor / Dili.
